North West landlords: registration starts 15 May 2027

201 days until North West starts on 15 May 2027

Every landlord in England will need to register each rental on the government's new database, at £65 a property each year. In the North West it starts on 15 May 2027 and you have until 14 August 2027 to register. Add a rental free and PropSignals shows what the register will ask for, what you already have and what is still missing, with reminders before your gas safety, EICR and EPC run out.

  • About 2 minutes, no card
  • What is ready and what is missing, for each rental
  • Reminders before each certificate runs out
  • Your details stay private to you

Your first rental

Certificate dates and your licence come next, on your dashboard: we show what the register will ask for and what is still missing, and we look up your EPC for you.

You can add these on your dashboard later.

Free for up to 2 rentals. No card. PropSignals is not the government service: you register on GOV.UK. See our privacy notice.

What the register asks for

Four sets of details for every rental.

About you

Your name, contact details and address, or your company details.

Each property

Address, type, bedrooms, ownership, any freeholder or managing agent, and whether it is let.

Tenancy and rent

Rent, how often it is paid, whether bills are included, people and households living there, any HMO licence, and furnishing.

Safety

Your gas safety record and its date, your electrical report (EICR) and when it runs out, and your EPC and whether the tenant was given it.

You can create an entry before you have everything, but the rest has to be added within 28 days. Your PropSignals dashboard keeps it all in one place, so you are ready before your region starts.

Why it matters

What happens if a rental is not registered.

Fines of up to £7,000

Councils can fine a landlord for letting or advertising a home without an active register entry.

No possession order

Courts cannot normally grant possession unless both the landlord and the property are registered.

Every year, kept up to date

£65 a property, renewed each year, and the entry has to stay accurate. False or misleading information is an offence.

From the Renters' Rights Act 2025 and the draft database regulations, as published in October 2026. This is general information, not legal advice; always check GOV.UK.

Early bird price ends in 5 days · Saturday 31 October

  • A nudge whenever something changes that your register entry needs to reflect
  • The Renters' Rights paperwork, filled in from your records
  • A yearly check that each rental is in order, and your route to EPC C by 2030

£59 a year for up to 3 rentals, then £10 a year for each extra rental. Early bird price: £39 for your first year if you join by Saturday 31 October. Start with the free check, then join from your dashboard. Not for you? Tell us within 30 days of joining and we will refund you in full.
